ABSTRACT
In the years 2010-2011 at the Plant Breeding and Acclimatization Institute in Jadwisin the performed experiment aimed to comparison of development two potato plant diseases : early and late blight during vegetation period on organic and conventional plantations. Tested cultivars were from different maturity groups and different resistance to Phytophthora infestans. It was stated that the development of both diseases depended on all tested factors : years, crop production system and cultivar. Climatic conditions during vegetation period influenced the date of first symptoms as well as rate of diseases development. Year 2010 was favorable for early blight but year 2011 for late blight. On average, for two years disease development was faster under organic system but it was different in the years. In the year 2010 the rate of diseases development under organic and conventional system was similar but in 2011 it was much faster under organic system. Development of both diseases was quicker among very early and early cultivars. Tuber yield was strongly connected with intensity of late blight development. The faster disease development, the lower yield.
